In the days before the pandemic, my aspirations soared in the skies of Daytona Beach as I pursued my dream of becoming a pilot. However, beneath the clouds, a longing for the comforting flavors of home—Turkish and Mediterranean delights—grew within me and my fellow students, a taste of familiarity elusive in our new surroundings.
Nearly a year ago, the opportunity to acquire a local space presented itself, and the concept was too compelling to resist. The vision of creating a haven for European cuisine began to take shape. Recognizing the scarcity of authentic Turkish, Greek, and Mediterranean options for those in the area, the mission was clear: bridge the gap and bring a taste of these rich culinary traditions to our community.
What started as a personal journey upon my arrival in Daytona Beach in 2016 gradually evolved into the restaurant you see today. From the outset, our aim has been to offer you the genuine flavors of Turkey and the Mediterranean. My path underwent a transformative twist when I returned to Turkey and decided to redirect my career, enrolling in a Culinary school specializing in Mediterranean Cuisine and Bakery. This metamorphosis equipped me with the skills to infuse your dining experience with the vibrant essence of the Mediterranean.
"Why 'Turquoise'?" you may ponder. The inspiration draws from the Mediterranean Sea itself. Beyond its serene blue hues, this sea has historically served as a unifying force, connecting people and cultures. Along its shores, diverse nations flourish, and their cuisines share striking similarities. Whether relishing Turkish delights, immersing yourself in Greek flavors, or savoring the tastes of Spain, Italy, and other Mediterranean regions, you embark on a culinary journey woven by the touch of the Mediterranean.
